GNDU GMET Application Form –This is one of the most famous exams for gaining admissions in Management courses. It stands for Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar Management Entrance Test. This is a test conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University to give admission to candidates to postgraduate degree courses.  Courses offered under this exam are 2 year management courses in MBA, MBA (Financial Services), MBA (Marketing and Retail Management. Candidates must make note of the fact that the university only gives admission to candidates who qualify the eligibility criteria. Bachelor’s degree from any college is accepted here. Each year in the month of June, GNDU GMET test is conducted. Guru Nanak Dev University is catering to is the first University of the region which introduced online admissions to its courses, and the online counselling for State Level Admissions and Credit Based Evaluation System. The University has risen to 16th rank in the top 50 universities of the country, as per recent survey conducted by ‘India Today’ .The University has achieved 11th Position, out of the 500 universities, in Publications in science. The University has won the highest sports Award in the country, the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy, for a record of 21 times.

GNDU GMET Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must pass their 10+2 level exam. Candidates must pass their graduation level exam. Final year candidates are eligible to take part in exam. For general category of crowd they should have secured at least 50% marks in graduation while other categories like SC /ST minimum is 45%.

GNDU GMET Application Form

Candidates will be able to download the application form from official website of Univ. Candidates can only apply through online mode for entrance exam. Application is done for postgraduate courses. Candidates must fill in and submit the necessary details. Candidates must fill in their name, contact information and educational qualification in the admission form. Candidates must upload their passport size photograph and signature. Before submission of the form candidates from General category, need to pay the application fees of Rs 1200. For SC/ST/PH categories it is Rs 600.

GNDU GMET Process

5 steps are involved:

Step 1: Application form has to be filled in online mode. One is required to fill basic ID, and fees can be paid by Bank Form, for payment of application. GNDU GMET 2018 application form will be released online and made available for download on the official website on the scheduled date as it has been mentioned in the admission notification. Application fee is Rs 1200 for General category students and Rs 600 for SC/ST category students.

Step 2 is to download admit card.

Admit cards are made available to download at least a week before exam date. Registered candidates can download their respective admit cards by using their login ID and password

Step 3: Appearing for the exam: 200 multiple choice questions from sections like English Comprehension and Grammar, General Knowledge, Numerical Ability and Business Aptitude.

Step 4: Check result on official website. GNDU CET Result can be checked on the official website by using their login credentials.

Step 5: Counselling: The Counselling Session will take place in the month of July. Shortlisted candidates only will have to be present in person for counselling process. After the counselling session is complete, the student will be offered admission to the university.

GNDU-GMET 2017 Counselling

Dates for GNDU-GMET 2018 exam are yet to be declared. Given above are the dates of last year’s exam for reference purpose only. The dates will be updated for the upcoming exam soon after the schedule is out.

GNDU GMET Pattern:

Questions: It will contain objective type and subjective questions. That means the people will have MCQ’s. The paper will have 100 questions in total.

MArking Scheme: As per the GNDU GMET Pattern, each correct response will give one mark.

TIme Duration: Total time duration of paper is 60 minutes for objective, and 30 minutes for subjective.

Negative Marking: There is no negative marking in this exam.

The syllabus doesn’t change and it has 4 sub topics:

Numerical Ability: Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, Percentage, Profit, Loss and Discount, Time, Speed and Distance, Averages, Age, Pipes and Cisterns, Ratio and Proportion, Alligation and Mixture, Relative Speed, Compound Interest, Circular Tracks, Upstream and Downstream, Partnership.

Downloading the Admit Card:

Admit card works as a hall ticket for all candidates. All candidates must carry the admit card on the day of exam. Admit card contains the candidate’s name and personal details. It contains the name of exam Centre, date of exam and time of exam as well. Candidates can download admit card after submitting their application form. Univ. will grant access to candidates for downloading Admit cards. Univ. will make admit card is available on the official website. Candidates can then download the admit cards. Candidates are supposed to reach the exam venue on the given date and on the given time. Details are on the admit card. Candidates should note that failure to furnish admit card at the exam centre will result in cancellation of registration. No candidate can sit for the exam without showing the admit card.

Results

The GNDU will release entrance exam results in 2018.  Candidates will be able to check their results from the official Univ. website and download their results. The Univ. will release results in the month of June. Candidates need to show the results to the admission Council. Counselling will commence after showing of results.

  • Go to Guru Nanak Dev University website,
  • Click on Admissions tab
  • Go to GMET results section
  • Enter login credentials
  • Download scorecard.

Each applicant should download the score card as hard copies would not be sent by post.

For downloading the scorecards the window will only be open for a limited period of time.

Each score card will carry the name of the candidate, the roll number, candidate’s sectional scores and overall scores as well.  The test takers will have to download their own scorecards.  Hard copies of the score cards will not be sent to anyone via post. The window for downloading the scorecards will be open for a limited period of time only, and as such,  the applying candidates will have to secure a copy of their scorecards within the stipulated time. The declaration of results will then be followed by the Counselling session, after which successful candidates will be offered admission.

Counselling Process:

This is held in the month of July. Candidates, whose names are there in the merit list, will be called for counselling. Joint Counseling shall be conducted for MBA (Two Years) for University Main Campus, Amritsar, GNDU Regional Campus, Gurdaspur and University College, Jalandhar.

Candidates will have to be present at the venue, in person for counselling and they must carry relevant documents, in original and photocopy. University will select candidates for counselling after normalizing marks scored.

Normalized marks = (Marks that have been obtained by the candidate x 100)/ Marks obtained by the topper of the University in the stream in which the candidate qualified.

  • Class 10 or equivalent exam marksheet

  • Two recent passport size photographs duly attested by the principal or college last attended
  • Address proof
